WHAT DOES AN INTERIOR DESIGNER DO?

As Designers, we focus on the form and function of a space. We design homes taking into consideration the family lifestyle, size, and family members. We incorporate existing furnishings and architectural components or unique characteristics of the home in the design to create a holistic environment. We collaborate with other professionals based on the type and scale of the project, such as engineers, contractors, and vendors. We create layouts, design & select architectural finishes as well as furnishings, fabrics, lighting, window treatments, art, and accessories.

HOW DO I KNOW IF MY PROJECT REQUIRES AN INTERIOR DESIGNER?

If you are looking to refresh a space or furnishings in a space, change the use of a room or update your kitchen, bathroom, or any room in the house, we can assist. We recommend getting on board at the start of your project so we can assist you with the design vision, define the budget and project scope. We have resources and recommendations to help you hire the right contractor to complete the work (our construction drawings will include all required information for the contractor to build and price). We can be as involved as you need us to be with the goal of making it a stress-free process for you.

WHAT IS “FULL SERVICE” INTERIOR DESIGN?

Full service interior design is a turn-key service that takes the project from concept to completion. We take care of every detail—from sourcing items to working with vendors, construction & permit packages, and even coordinating orders and deliveries. We coordinate the install of the new design so all you have to do is “turn-key” and enjoy your new space.

IS MY PROJECT TOO SMALL FOR STUDIO 415 INTERIORS?

No, we work on all scale projects, some are more architecture focused and some more furnishings. For us, helping our clients with design is our priority. We do both renovations and new builds or just furnishings.

HOW DO YOU ESTABLISH YOUR DESIGN FEES?

Each project is unique, so we create a project specific scope of work based on the time it will be required for us to complete the design.

HOW DOES THE PROCESS WORK?

The first step is to complete an inquiry form on our website. After the inquiry form is received, we’ll contact you to schedule a complimentary 30-minute video call to further review your project. We ask that you share as many photos of the space as well as floor plans (if you have them). If we are a good fit, we will send you a unique proposal package, showcasing our process and what to expect throughout your project. We then present our proposal to you, including our plan for executing the design, budget, and timeline.

HOW DO YOU PRESENT YOUR DESIGN IDEAS? WHAT IF I WANT TO MAKE CHANGES AFTER THE PRESENTATION?

We present all ideas during in-person or Zoom meetings. We provide as many drawings, images, photos, and physical samples as necessary to walk you through the design. We also can assist with 3D renderings to help you visualize your new space if needed. We revise our design per your feedback and are always open to amending the design to be exactly what you envisioned.

WHAT IS BEA’S ROLE?

Bea will work with clients to help create a design vison for their home remodel, expansion, or converted space. She will create design drawings, and permit/construction packages. She selects finishes, plumbing fixtures and obtains quotes. She coordinates with the engineers or contractors as the project requires it. She assists during the construction phase to make sure the design goal is met.

WHAT IS HAILEY’S ROLE?

Hailey will work with clients to help create a design vison for their furnishings, create furniture layouts, incorporate existing pieces to design, select furnishings, decorative lighting, art, accessories & cabinet hardware; she will manage coordination with vendors, create budgets, purchase & coordinate with the receiving warehouse receiving, inspections, returns & onsite deliveries. She also manages furniture donatations and onsite installation of art, furnishings, accessories, wallpaper, carpets, etc.

WHAT IS A RECEIVING WAREHOUSE?

A receiving warehouse is an external company who receives, inspects, and stores all items upon arrival until they are installed onsite. If there were to be an issue with the delivered products, Hailey will coordinate the replacements with the vendors. Once all purchased items arrive at the receiving warehouse, the final installation date will be scheduled with the client. On install day, Hailey will be on site to coordinate the receiving warehouse of the final furnishings installation to ensure all items arrive undamaged, in the correct location, and that your home is not damaged in the process.

WHAT IS AN EXPECTED PROJECT TIMELINE?

Our furnishing and renovation projects take between 8-12 months+ from design to installations and our new build construction projects are always a year or more. We advise our clients to reach out 6+ months prior to the start of a project. Good design takes time and we like to be fully prepared when construction starts.

DO YOU SOURCE FROM ANY DESIGN STORE?

Our goal is for you to be happy with the design for years to come, focusing on quality above all else. We source from manufacturers we we know and trust, focusing on natural & handmade materials as well as the ability for a piece to be later refinished, reupholstered, and repurposed. We’d much rather source fewer items if it means they’re more unique and better quality.
